If you are in the EU or UK: your 14-day cooling-off period
Our products are digital content delivered immediately — your practice exams and downloads are available the moment payment completes. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, our merchant of record, Link (Sold through Link, LLC, a Stripe company), gives you a 14-day cooling-off period under its own buyer terms.
“If you are a consumer under EU law, you have a right to cancel your Order during the cooling off period. The cooling off period is for 14 days from the date you receive access to or delivery of the product you purchased in your Order.”— Link's buyer terms, link.com/terms. A materially identical clause applies to UK consumers.
Our reading of that, in plain English — this paragraph is ours, not Link's: because we grant access the moment payment completes, you receive access at purchase, so in practice the 14 days run from the date you buy. If our wording and Link's ever disagree, Link's quoted terms govern — the right is theirs to define and ours only to describe.
Cooling-off requests go to Link, who decide and pay them. You can also reach us at support@ciply.io and we will pass a request on, though we cannot decide it — this is Link's commitment, not ours, and it can be granted without our involvement.
What "access" means — precisely: you have accessed a product when you start a practice session (your first load of a paid question bank) or download a purchased document. Our systems record the time of first access. Viewing product pages or using the free sampler does not count.
This definition is ours, and it governs the change-of-mind exclusion further down — not the cooling-off period above, whose start date is set by Link's terms as quoted.
When we refund
We honor refund requests in genuine cases, including:
- Technical failure — you cannot access what you paid for and our support cannot fix it within a reasonable time;
- Duplicate purchase or billing error — you were charged twice, or charged for something you didn't order;
- Materially wrong product — what was delivered is not what the product page described;
- Never accessed — you bought a product, never started it or downloaded it, and ask us within 14 days.
How to ask, and who moves the money
Email support@ciply.io from your purchase email address with your order reference — we read everything that reaches us and approve genuine cases. Refunds are processed by Link, our merchant of record, to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days; Link can also issue one directly. Access to a refunded product ends when the refund is issued.
What we don't refund
Change of mind after you've accessed the content, exam results, or unused remaining access time. Certification prep is consumable by nature — the free sampler exists precisely so you can judge the product before paying.
Where this applies: everywhere outside the EU and UK, and in the EU and UK after your 14-day cooling-off period has ended. Inside that period, the cooling-off right above comes first — it covers change of mind, and it is not ours to refuse.
Your statutory rights
Where the law gives you more than this policy, the law wins. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be waived under the consumer law of your country. Several countries provide non-waivable cancellation rights for digital purchases; where they apply, Link honors them, and the highest applicable level of protection always prevails — whatever this page says.
